Wasp |
Often
emerging in the late summer and autumn, wasps feed initially
on proteins which include other flying insects, but then
change to carbohydrates. Wasps are highly attracted to UVA and
green light as well as food odours. |
| A wasp sting can be dangerous, particularly if victims
are stung in the mouth or throat. Anaphylactic shock is a big
danger. Being stung more than once does not build up immunity;
in fact the reverse is true. |
